david, i am one of those who previously felt that no matter how ensconced the "secret" movie and related side products were ensconced in a material perspective, in the end, it would at least get more people to consciously utilizing universal law and creating transformation in their lives, like taking spiritual growth one step at a time for people who might not be interested in such.

your writing on the website and the link to the nyt article led me to reconsider my intiial thoughts. i have begun seeing this as an opportunity to learn how to distinguish between those working for the "service to self" path and those on the "service to others" path, simply for the purpose of clarity without the intention of judging whomever.

your comments would be highly appreciated. btw, kudos for your newly formatted website and forums area! love it! and thank you for your extraordinary efforts to share with us and to keep us informed. you have opened me up to so very much information of value and of deepening or broadening or elevating [whatever!] my perspective on all that is that i could never sufficiently thank you. i also find much of the input from our discussion group membership to also be very helpful, although sometimes the language gets quite technical and thus less accessible to me.

believe me, i've known the deal about this film ever since it first came out... and i was one of the first to see it. for a long time i didn't say a word about it because all pr is good pr. now that it's taken on a life of its own, i feel people deserve to hear a different angle, and how the law of one philosophy sheds new light on it.

perhaps this is what is needed for the masses right now. i do love this movie. i have the original with esther in it. david said in his article that he has seen many positive things come about from "the secret" albeit with problems.
i can't help but wonder. if it was on oprah it would be readily accepted by the masses who are not "in on it yet". i don't mean to say that i am either. i have had a facination with the dream here. when i was around 12-13 very poor and living in a dump. i remember a deep knowing that we were living a dream and someday would go home. how i knew this i have no idea. well i do now. even as a younger girl i (and an early reader) i would wander over to the metaphysical books wherever i could find them. to help explain the knowingness that i had and the visions that i saw. now today i feel as if i don't know much. but that my journey is to love. that is the message that i took from "the secret" the love, and innner connectedness the power of being positive in a negative world. many saw the get rich quick message that was in there. yes i noticed it but i felt it wasn't the only message. i guess that is just my take on it. my husband is happy that it is getting exposed as a half truth - fraud. i just think it could start people on the right path who have never been exposed to it. even today i talk with my friends about being "psychic or our interconnectedness and i just get blank looks and wow you are so interesting." so i feel a bit lost out here. although i know i am not alone one bit. just had to comment. i love this new format and david i really treasure what i have learned from you and your work. so thank you for being you.
