in terms of the holographic universe theory...i've always thought that if
that's true, how come we don't see a lot more people exhibiting neo-like
behaviour? ;-) i also know the stock answer is that it's because people
don't have sufficient belief that they can do such things...but again, if
that's the case, how come every kid who's ever put a teatowel around his
neck and jumped off the roof of his house (attempting to imitate superman)
has hit the ground below, instead of taking off? they would have genuinely
believed they were going to be able to fly.

it's not only belief, per se, but i think that it's a matter of "gnosis" as
well.
i wouldn't give a chain saw to a five year old, nor would i give an untrained
teenager the keys to an indy race car...
....nor would i attempt to walk on water by stepping off of a ship in the middle
of a lake or an ocean ....without first attempting something a bit
smaller...like a very small mud-puddle...
first things, first. one step at a time.
...and no matter one's level of 'faith' or of 'belief', stepping off a roof
while wearing a make-believe cape, instead of the real thing, just might earn a
person a broken leg or two... ;o)
the law of octaves is still in effect, and i think that ra might be trying to
teach us a thing or two about true "physics."

this is an excellent point methinks. i guess to answer this question
you'd have to start considering whether there is some 'natural'
sequence to life; whether things are supposed to happen in a certain
order. with that in mind, perhaps said kid was not 'meant' to be able
to fly yet. perhaps his accident would be an indication we still have
work to do?
(*jake feels the ground falling from under him....*)
but then, that would probably be an infraction on freedom of choice
would it not? especially considering the younger the kid would be,
the more pure his mind would be, and as such the more 'ability to
create' he would have. unless there are some natural 'safety
precautions' built in at that age..? i mean if every kid was flying
around, the adults would be all 'eh!? why can't i fly?!'. but then,
that might be a good thing? hehe. too many 'buts'!
ok, i'm clutching at straws here, but then i am just pouring out
thoughts. perhaps someone will read them and pick up counter-
arguments and we can solve this mystery together. or perhaps someone
will just outright solve it in one sweep? that's what i like about
this forum.
the road to truth hath many turns (unless you're superkid and can
just fly there).

petrus & all,
concurrent with sufficient belief, which may be "a faith in the love
of the unknown", is a clearing of blockages & balancing of chakras".
(imho) this seems possible but generally out of a child's realm, no?

ra gives an excellent and thought provoking description of balancing
the energy centers, on pages 144 & 145 in loo - book one.
here's an online link. it's about half way down the page.
