jay weidner wrote a document called "the golden age & the end of the world"
(http://www.jayweidner.com/goldenage.htm). the last half of it presents a
variation of the christian story which says that jesus was transformed into an
ascended being of a kind that he calls "homo luminous", which is apparently a
higher dimensional and/or higher density being. "..he became a man of light, or
a light body." "the son of man is the species that emerges out of man." "the
emergence of homo luminous is already beginning. it is up to us to decide
whether we wish to stay here and become the shepherds for this newly emerging
human species."

weidner says that the powerful church of rome had little to do with what christ
stood for: "the keepers of the light had created a religion that could actually
thwart the efforts of the setians (followers of satan). and so that religion
became the number one enemy of the setian state of ancient rome almost 2000
years ago. three hundred years later when constantine took over the reigns of
the holy roman church the real christians knew what had happened. they knew that
the setian forces had taken over their end time religion. this group of original
christians, now called gnostic christians, moved underground. they still spoke
of the 'end times' and satan as the ruler of the world. this was eventually
interpreted by the roman church to mean that the church itself was the creation
of the evil one."

i have a few more hawkwind lyrics that i believe have unusual relevance to all
of this. reading these brought a tear to my eye - especially "ten seconds of
forever".

lord of light (from "doremi fasol latido", 1972)

the elements that gather here
upon this hill shall cast no fear
of lines that match across the world
for travel which no man has ever heard
the moon that shines its beam so bright
of stones that measure the silvery light
of energy that travels here
it happens on the seventh year.
a day shall come, we shall be as one
perhaps the dying has begun
from the realms beyond the sun
here our lifetime has begun

excerpt from "space is deep" (from "doremi fasol latido", 1972)

it does not feel, it does not die
space is neither truth nor lie
into the void we have to travel
to find the clue which will unravel
is this the reason, deep in our minds?

the secret lies with our tomorrow
in each of us is a hidden sorrow
the path goes onwards through the night
beyond the realms of ancient light
is this the reason, deep in our minds?

ten seconds of forever (from "space ritual", 1973)

in the tenth second of forever, i thought of the sea and your white yacht
drifting...
in the ninth second of forever, i thought of the leaf, the stone, the plastic
fragment of the child's toy...
in the eighth second of forever, i remembered a warm room where voices played...
in the seventh second of forever, i thought of the life i would not lead...
in the sixth second of forever, i saw your love whispering something i could
hear...
in the fifth second of forever, i thought of the vermillion deserts of mars, the
duned forest of venus...
in the fourth second of forever, i could remember nothing that i did not love...
in the third second of forever, i thought of rain against a window and i thought
of the wind...

in the second second of forever, i thought of the pair of broken shades lying on
the tarmac...
in the first and final second of forever, i thought of the long past that had
lead to now and never... never... never... never...

friendship seven:

i'll try to describe what i'm in here.

i'm in a big mass of some very small particles that are brilliantly lit up,

like they're luminescent.

i never saw anything like it.

they're coming by the capsule, and they look like

sleep of a thousand tears

with your white arms wrapped around me
and locked in embrace so cold
we slept a thousand years or more
to awake in a land of gold
where the king of the world was a creature
both man and woman and beast
under landscape boiled with a million strange flowers
and the sun set in the east
and we were heroes you and i
by virtue of age and skill
and we rode to the land at the edge of the skies
to an emerald tower on a hill
