View Full Version : The Joke Is On Me

hey one and all,
just reconnecting with my friend laughter :)

girls just wanna have fun and guys just wanna be funny, sounds pretty simple
to me. the biggest joke people could ever play on each other is when they
try to get into a ?serious? relationship. why on earth would anybody want
to be in a ?serious? relationship? i mean seriously, when things get
serious it is like opening a door for possessiveness, clinging and
attachment to enter along with jealousy, anger and all those other emotions
that are connected with the fear of losing that special one we love so
seriously that we will do anything to keep them ?mine.? to get so serious
with another that you try to claim them as your own is just creating a mine
waiting to get blown up in your face.

i don?t know about you but i want to be in a funny relationship, i want to
be living and sharing the life of a joke. live your life so that when you
review it you will be viewing a comic strip. come out all you clowns that
are hiding behind your walls of seriousness. fall off that wall, all you
humpty dumpties and lets crack each other up. don?t worry about how you are
going to be put back together for that is the one thing that mixes up all
the pieces.

release all that seriousness; let go of all those worries and regrets.
those aches in your bodies will dissolve as soon as you decide to lighten
up. laughing is a total body experience, what could be more healing than
vibrating all of your cells into a laugh. if you want to serve humanity
then what better way is there then to never stop laughing and when someone
asks why you are laughing, tell them ?i don?t know!? is it not funny that
nobody knows?

forget about peace marches to prevent war, it is time for the march of
laughter. what makes you feel more at peace then sharing laughter with a
friend? the thought of going to war with another country will never arise
when the whole country is laughing together. let laughter be the next shot
heard around the world.

life is a big joke and that bang that set everything into motion well that
was the laughter of the creator (perhaps it was even a fart from digesting
all of the food of our experiences...now there ius a funny picture) from the
previous joke, from the previous octave of experience. we are storing up
this knowledge from all of these experiences and then when we share the gift
of our stories with the creator as we coalesce into one, the creator just
laughs and out we go again to tell another joke. we cracked the creator up
into imaginary pieces until it even began to hurt and now we are all coming
back together in remembrance of the joke. why wait another moment to join
in the laughter of all that there is. all is light and that light is the
expression of laughter, and darkness well that is the shadow that is created
when seriousness takes its place. laugh it up my friend, nothing serious
has ever happened!

in loving laughter,
mikey

you are so right mikey. in fact everytime i see your name it puts a smile on
my face. i'll bet it flashes the same image in many people's television
fried brains of that little boy mikey and life cereal.

laughter is the best medicine! real laughter, not the kind that comes from
nervousness or noticing someone's else's discomfort. not the kind that comes
from watching tele-vision or movies but real head to toes, full body guffaws and
giggles based on interacting with others and sharing our amusement. it very
well could be that laughing at ourselves is the most healing of all.

like children laugh, without worrying about being too loud, making a scene or
bothering someone else. when it happens while communing with creator, who by
the way has the best sense of humor that i've ever encountered, it doesn't
matter if anyone else is around. it is so impacting and amusing that we can't
hold it in.

it would be awesome if we could escape all seriousness. much easier said
than done but oh what a ride when we accomplish it.

love and blessings,

i guess i won't change my name to "i" then even though that is what we all
call ourselves, well at least in english. i was thinking the other day that
it must be neat to speak spanish and refer to yourself as "yo" all the time,
no pun intended. it is not like when i refer to myself i call myself
"mikey" anyway, i dont think to myself "miket am hungry" hehe. i wonder
what would happen if everyone decided to change their name so that they
responded to "i" or perhaps even "earth" would be good. it seems to me like
it would help to promote the experience of unity. what do all you other
"i"s think about that?

peace,
mikey

this sounds so wonderful to me, but i have never been able to do that!
laughter is elusive to me - energy blockages of course. any suggestions?

hi leal,

oh my, how about looking at your dog's silly grin (huh-face) as you are
talking to them, or a baby teetering on walking and laughing, or realizing
how stupid you looked when you didn't realize you had a tag hanging on your
butt? or you had a rip in your black pants and you were wearing white
underwear, or the manequin in the store window was missing the most
important piece of clothing :) come on...you can't tell me you don't
laugh....hey, i know you do:) chris

i was listening to native american grandfather red elk speak and
refers to himself as "this one". seemed to me to be an appropriate
loo designation for 'i'.

(laughing as i begin to write this reply...) timothy
leary once predicted that one day everybody on earth
would just snap and start laughing, and it would be
this convulsive laughter that rippled out across the
planet...

whether it actually happens or not doesn't matter to
me, it was extremely inspiring. the creator is the
original comedian, and thus created the funniest joke
ever. i think we'll all eventually get the punchline
and find it the to be utterly hilarious.

i second michael's suggestion, taking things too
seriously is about the silliest thing you can do.
laugh it up!

ha! i love it drew! i can envision it already and it warms my heart. what a
healing time that will be; for the entire planet. the peals of laughter, like
the frequencies from ringing bells, will ripple out like cosmic waves from this
world to enlighten the entire universe.
