<tt>i heard today on the radio that the nostradamus reading was a hoax, i knew someone on here would let me know if it was a hoax or not :)

here is my two cents on the world events as i see them unfolding..all the evidence is pointing towards bin laden, but the media is geeking the public up that is is him and that we have to deal with it with war..everyone says we have to act with force or they will do it again. if we attack the suicide bombings will increase even more i say. i don't know who was behind the suicide bombings but i know it could as easily have been isreal (they have been wanting us to join up with them in the war they have brewing anyhow so they are gaining the most by this) or our own government could of did it, our way of life is going to change because of this, we are going to lose a lot of our privacy, for as, the government will now be able to invade our lives claiming to be looking for terrorist. everyone i talk to wants to bomb them, i say we can't go to war for this but 98% of the people i see are filled with anger and rage and want revenge, if innocents die so be it. i don't want to see us bomb anyone but i feel we are going to end up bombing a country. all the other countries are on our side now but if/when we start killing innocents of another country, that will cause a few of those now on our side turning against us..

i am a carpet installer/welder/carpenter and work 10 hour days, quit school in the ninth grade and don't claim to know everything, or for that matter anything, but david's website has opened my eyes and i see this as our test, we have the choice on how to deal with these unfortunate circumstances that have befallen upon us..right now i'd say 99% of the world is filled with either rage or worry about what has happened and that leaves us 1% pushing love the minority. it is great the way the country has pulled together but it is a damn shame it is with the purpose of war..if now is the time we are being judged i'd say we are failing. i really need to buy some ink for my webtv printer so i can get dave's site saved, and a couple more..well i live in florida and we have a tropical depression heading right for my neck of the woods. they have been saying the hurricane season was supposed to be higher this year but all has been quiet so far and now they are brewing off the coast of africa like crazy. i had read somewhere that 2001 was actually the new century and by the looks of things, shark attacks, bombings, weather changes, volcanoes, hurricanes, bear that enters a woman's house to kill her, times are strange but i will stay calm and observe the unfolding with a clear mind..

peace and love~

you are doing a great job spreading the love. don't let your heart

be broken. i understand and empathize with you, as i have

experienced the same types of persecution at my work. it doesn't

matter. it really doesn't matter. just continue forth spreading the

love to whomever will listen. be who you are, you are love. i tell

you this, as i tell myself this, because i always need reminders.

rosi,

it's always easier talking to people in spiritual groups when "most" of them either feel the same way or are working towards that end. the groups i talked to were just average mailing list groups without spiritual context. i was trying to get a feel for what people are thinking and boy, it's heavy.

when the government isn't feeding the fear and crazed anger, the media is. four days now, of 24 hour coverage. not that that's bad, but all the people they talk to are saying "war, war, war, kill the bastard". not once have i heard the word peace unless it was mentioned in context of killing for it. what a condundrum. peace? at what cost? forever looking behind our backs, that's what. there's no peace there.

i see only one way out of this, unfortunately, and it was prophesied long ago. we had our chance, now we have to reap what we've sowed. my prayers might be different than some of the others that prayed at noon today. mine were probably in the minority. i want the upliftment of humanity and how it gets there isn't my concern. if it takes ww3 and nuclear war and biological weapons, so be it... and god help us. the people on this planet today have a glorified view of war and are desensitized to it. they have no idea what will come.

love,

cindi

to all of the group - blessings

today i iistened to the washington prayer service at noon on my car radio as
i moved from one point to another. it felt good to be part of such a mass of
unified prayer. i wondered as i listened to the beautiful words and music if
this is enough prayer, love and light to change things? have we come
together enough to shift, alter, or minimize the course of events? do the
prayers of those sending a prayer, while still holding the angry desire for
vengeance or retaliation in their heart, have the same ability to affect the
shifting? maybe it is just sufficient that many people who normally wouldn't
turn to god are now reaching.

though i did feel that sense of great joy in the coming together in the
prayer - all people, in all their diversity, praying for help to the god they
understand, there was still a vague sense of the process not being complete.
unless there was something said during the approximately 10-15 minutes at the
beginning of the service that i missed, i never once heard reference to
forgiveness, loving our enemy or anything like that. so, we in this group
and others like-minded really are in the minority as you said, but we have an
ability to complete this process that few others understand. we have an
awesome responsibility, but an equally exciting opportunity, to ensure that
the love and light of that forgiveness is spread as far and wide as we can
send it. thank you all for sharing the process. phyllis
