i know what you mean, olga. having studied acim
extensively in the past, i got a sense that the author
<ahem> saw the ego as completely an obstacle and not
as a learning tool. of course, acim never says this,
and toward the end takes a very loo-ey approach to the
ego. i think the key is not embracing any one
approach 100% but being flexible, and adopting ways of
thinking that demonstrate benefit to us. we're going
to do ego-based things anyway, but at least things
like loo and acim help us become *aware* of what we
are doing and their source.
