Spiral trees

thank you for the interesting url on the spiral moss.

the spiraling of the moss is very similar to the spiraling of the branches of
conifer trees, the ones in the northern hemisphere spiralling counter-clockwise;
i presume that the ones in the southern hemisphere spiral clockwise. i love to
stand under a huge conifer tree and observe the gentle spiraling of it's
branches.
