imho, most of the problems we've had with people on the list have been
because people come on the list and start promulgating their *own* new age
and spiritual ideas instead of talking about their beliefs in the context of
the asc2k work. i'm not saying that nothing should be discussed except
topics that david addresses, or that you're not entitled to your opinion, or
that you can't share your ideas with us, but rather that we need to have
some focus on the list. there are plenty of general new age groups to which
that people can subscribe if they just want to talk in generalities.
ideally this list shouldn't be a place for someone to opportunistically jump
on their soapbox and start preaching to us. it's annoying when it's done by
fundamentalists, and even more annoying when done by new agers!

and, yes, when we do get an armchair guru on the list who starts
revealing the truth to us, silence goes a *long* way.
