its very hard to articulate our emotions as human beings because we tend to think what we say instead of saying what we think. its not really our fault ofcourse but one of modern language.
it doesnt take a lot for some people...more for others..and less for others again, but if you have been blessed to have given or recieved a smile recently...or made someone genuinely laugh, then you will understand the spark of truth that one feels inside..both the giver and recipient.
a little candle is lit briefly but it brightens up the whole cave fantasically...if only for a minute. but within in that minute the potential for clear sight and understanding is great.
love, compassion, honesty...come down to a way of being and i urge everyone to smile at a stranger today or really mean it when you thank someone and be aware of the feelings that transpire and reverberate within the truest self of your being...not only knowing you have changed someone's life for the good but also given yourself a reminder of the reason you are here at this time.
for yourself...and others...be that candle and love at every opportunity :)

angelboy, i could not agree more. i think my heart opens more when i receive or give a smile. :) that simple act can make a moment.

i try to smile every minute of every day and am often asked how i can always be so happy?
but to me the answer is simple, it's all a choice. why choose to be sad? :d

i just had a nice talk with one of my daughters yesterday about smiling. she has a tendency to just frown no matter what, i am afraid her face is gonna get stuck like that :). i explained to her,"people not only smile when they are happy but smiling will make you happy. and then other people will catch it from you."

thank you all for your responses...indeed it is all a choice. personal responsibility goes hand in hand with a choice. we (collective ''man'') should all take on the responsibility of trying to imrpove and make our lives or others better...and more often or not making someone elses life just that bit brighter is reciprocated and multiplied onto ourselves.
big choices are going to be imperative in our lifetime as they have been in our past lifetimes and i for one am going to make mine with as much love and light as i can muster...let alone with a beaming smile.
thank you again

yes, smiling is great for changing your disposition. and like you said, it is indeed a choice. to be conscious of the choice to smile can definitely make a "dent" in this reality. at every moment, our thoughts create the reality in which we experience... if our reality needs change, then we are the facillitator. so, thanks for facillitating this smile! i'll definitely pay it forward! ;)

i live in the uk and today is a rememberance day to commemorate the lives that have been lost in the wars spanning from the last century into our current situations around the world. i just wanted to offer this opportunity to send a loving smile and a moment of compassion for both the soldiers and often overlooked innocent civilians who are unfortunate enough to be caught up in the atrocities that war brings. i lose a little piece of myself everytime there is a news broadcast or radio update that mentions the sadness of it all, which seems to be pretty much at every opportunity they can get airplay. today, even more than everyday as always, my thoughts, prayers and loving smiles are for all the souls trapped in this mess and all the hope, love and faith in the positivity that one day in the not too distant future there will be no more. love to you all, keep smiling, peace, angelboy

nicely put angelboy.
this year i made a conscious decision to not buy a poppy. some people may judge me for that but knowing what i know about how the sick evil elite staged the wars for profit and power, i could not buy one, perhaps my decision was wrong but it felt right to me.
sadly we have learned nothing from these crazy crazy wars and still see it as the answer to the worlds problems.
just one thing though, dont forget all of the animals who have been killed, mamed and terrified by these wars. humans have more of a choice than animals do.
love and light,
matt :)

as it has been said, "a smile is the least expensive accessory you can wear, and it also makes you look more beautiful".

lol another synchronicity, i am listening to an incredibly beautifully done version of 'smile' performed by the amazing janelle monae, whom i believe to be a obviously enlightened girl. check out her video 'many moons' on youtube and you'll know what i mean.
smile, though your heart is aching, smile,
even though it's breaking
when there are clouds, in the sky you'll get by
if you smile, through all fear and sorrow
smile and maybe tomorrow
you'll find the sun come shining through for you
light up your face, with gladness
hide every trace of sadness
although a tear may be ever so near
cause that's the time you must keep on trying
smile, what's the use of crying
you'll find that life is still worth while
if you, you just smile
smile, darling baby, smile
thank you, thank you very much

a smile in general is a multiversal sign of kindness, acceptance and love. as humans we do not need to be told this. i have often smiled at a very young baby only to be blessed with one in return, so i believe this act is natural to us. my reason for posting this is bcos i want to stress that we can recieve these acts of love and kindness and acceptance (smiles) not only by fellow humans but also other entities and spirits and energies we share this place with. just think when the wind blows on your face or your cat purrs on your lap or the sun shines on your closed eyelids...everybody takes things for granted on a certain level (imo, its our conditioning!) and sometimes these beautiful natural loving gestures go unregistered by us. so believe there are no coincidences, keep smiling, peace always, angelboy
