january 24, 2009

a southern ocean wind pattern has been linked to a recent cluster of tasmanian whale strandings.

of 48 sperm whales stranded on perkins island, off tasmania's north-west, late on thursday, only five were alive late yesterday.

a tasmanian parks and wildlife service spokesman, warwick brennan, said this morning's high tide may provide the best chance of saving the survivors, which were "jumbled up with the dead ones".

however, he said, the rescue operation would be complicated by the inability to get machinery into the location.

the sperm whales lay only a few kilometres from anthony's beach at stanley, where 64 pilot whales stranded on november 22. about 80 kilometres away on tasmania's west coast, more than 150 pilot whales died at sandy cape on november 29.

a csiro scientist, karen evans, and the university of tasmania's mark hindell have found that a 10-year cycle of zonal westerly winds appeared to coincide with a peak in the region's whale strandings.

dr evans said yesterday the strong winds generated an upwelling of nutrients that brought the whales' prey, such as squid, to the area, and eventually the whales themselves.

"this year is coming up towards the peak of that cycle," dr evans said. "these winds are actually driving the whales closer to the coast, into an area where there is a higher probability of stranding.

"i've flown over this area where the sperm whales are, and it's almost like a whale death trap. there are lots of wide sandbars and beaches, all kinds of traps for animals that go into it."

sperm whales are extremely social animals, said nick gales, leader of the australian marine mammal centre in hobart. "survival for them depends on thinking as a herd, so the potential is great for the entire herd to get into trouble when something goes wrong with one of them."

on thursday, winds of up to 109 kmh swept past the bureau of meteorology's cape grim station on tasmania's north-west tip, as a deep low-pressure system swept south of the island.

"the swells with this, and the resulting mixing in the water column, mean that things can get very confusing for a marine mammal," dr gales said.

what is it about whales that evokes such a reaction in me? it has been said that whales and dolphins are the closest in consciousness on this earth to man; that they are our kin in the oceans. they say that they carry out their lives and societies in the ocean waters, just like we construct our patterns of life on the land.

so to see such an image as the one above. it just destroys me.

my question:

is it purely the freak chance of weather and wave patterns, or is there something more to these mass whale beachings?

i don't know the answer to your question, ggw_bach, but i share your horror and sadness at this news.

i saw this video clip earlier today; maybe it will help your heart to feel a little better:

i have read a number of times from various sources that the whales are first of all the reincarnation of the spirits from maldek, and have been here learning compassion, love and care for the planet on which they are now living. they chose to be in this state so that they could not repeat what occured to their previous home world.

they have become the loving custodians of gaia over the millions of years they have been here. it has been their joy to sing the health of our world. now that it is approaching the shift to higher density (earth has already moved into her higher density) the cetaceans are now moving on as well and passing the custodianship on to us humans.

just as many humans have exited from this physicality in the great storms, and tsunamis and earthquakes in the last number of years, the whales are finding their transitions on the beaches of the world.

this does not, i must say, excuse the artificial great harm to them from the high powered sonar exercises by the navies of the world. this is inexcusable. it is as much an impingement on their free will as the genecides occuring across the world. but again in the long run, one must still consider pre-carnative contracts being satisfied.

the other note is that the whales have been very confused by the magnetic pole movement in the last number of years. they use the magnetic ley lines to navigate their periodic migrations and often these lead directly to dry land.

i am also broken hearted with the devastation of these wonderful beings. i offer love and light to them with visions of knowing them anew in the higher density world.

yeah ive always been drawn to whales too, ever since i saw free willy. im just glad they had each other in the end. all the more reason why we shouldnt hunt them at all, they have enough to deal with.

i have heard and experienced from psychics and in visions that whales and dolphins contact humans in the etheric realm. they deliver messages, boost with power, and guide humans who connect with them. in psychic sessions these creatures commonly show up to offer aid. they have much to share with us as they have endured much from there ocean haven. if they are so smart, why do they beach themselves.

sonar and elf frequencies definately mess up their guidence system. this alone could be the cause. in the area of tasmania where apparently over 250 whales have beached themselves in the last 2 months, there must be something in this specific area responsible for this.

i know currently that japenese whalers are harvesting whales in the antarctic waters. the sea shepard has been chasing the whalers around for a month or so down there trying to protect the whales. these waters are considered a whale sanctuary. apparently there is a high population of whales in these southern waters.

if the whales are attracted to cool waters during this time of year, perhaps something about the ocean is playing a role in this. as you may or may not know the cold ocean waters at both poles is expanding. i can see change on a weekly basis, especially near the north pole. the antarctic waters have been steadily spreading north for at least the past year. this would bring these cold waters closer to lands such as tasmania which is just southeast of australia. depending on the temperature of water that the whales like, this could be running the whales directly into the island as they follow the flow.

the water around tasmania is currently around 55 f if someone wants to follow up on this theory.

as a sidenote, i had a dream about a month ago that i was scuba diving with the purpose of disarming whale traps. while i was underwater searching for traps i couldn't find any. what i did find was metal chains hanging down into the water from the surface. chains? i had no idea what this represented. i still don't, only that chains are man made. when i came to the surface i was in the basement of a warehouse near the ocean. there was a heavy feeling that i would be in trouble if caught there so i left quickly.

what does this mean? i have a little more than no idea. if somebody comprehends, please share your idea. i am posting the ocean temp in a seperate post. this is the second time i have wrote this down to post.

maybe the chains mean that you or something is bound to the ocean?

tasmania, the site of the whale beaching, is the small island due south of eastern australia.

i would like to present this wonderful short video depicting a symphonic communication with grey whales. this is delightful and brought tears of joy. something positive with the cetaceans.

this is really sad. just with the whales, i was also seeing that cattle seem to be jumping off cliffs. theres another animal this was happening to, but i dont remember off the top of my head.

i keep feeling it has to do with the magnetic field.

i was just surfing some old bookmarks, and i found myself at l/l research for the first time in a long time.

on january 20, 2009, carla and friends from l/l research held a "special meditation" channeling session with "those known to you as the principle of the q'uo", wherein jim asked (in part):

"my main question is, how may we learn from whales and dolphins on a steady, daily basis? is it imperative that we should learn to communicate with dolphins and whales? if so, will q’uo teach us how to communicate with them?”

here's a link to the transcript of the session that followed:

hi all,

this is my first post, ive been following davids work for about a year now after finding out he was a big fan of loo. the last few years have been a crazy ride for me ive gone from an atheist engineer to a spiritual full time truth seeker but im having fun, however ive slowly lost all my old friends as we're not even on the same page anymore, so i thought id sign up to this forum to communicate with others it seems like a nuturing sanctuary here. i found this story;

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn6764-lonely-whales-song-remains-a-mystery.html

a lone whale with a voice unlike any other has been wandering the pacific for the past 12 years

the partially declassified records show that a lone whale singing at around 52 hertz has cruised the ocean every autumn and winter since 1992. its calls do not match those of any known species, although they are clearly those of a baleen whale, a group that includes blue, fin and humpback whales.

blue whales typically call at frequencies between 15 and 20 hertz. they use some higher frequencies, but not 52 hertz, daher says. fin whales make pulsed sounds at around 20 hertz, while humpbacks sing at much higher frequencies. the tracks of the lone whale do not match the migration patterns of any other species, either.

anybody out there relate to this whale? on a higher wavelength than the others singing your own high vibe thoughts, ignoring the daily migrations of the others. i reckon this whale is capable of singing the 15-20hz if it wanted to but is happy doin its own thing, i wonder if whales are third density or if this ones a wanderer

q'uo has stated that some atlantians became whales, having come to understand how to do so.

thanks evolving!

ever since swimming with dolphins i knew something was very different about them. i found what q’uo said;

just as your species has had its evolution interrupted by genetic manipulation many thousands of your years in the past, so has the evolution of those known to you as dolphins and whales and other cetaceans such as porpoises been interrupted, not by those from elsewhere than your planet but by those on the island-continent you have called atlantis
the consciousness of these mammals was enhanced by the genetic manipulation which caused the so-called human and the so-called cetacean [2] to be bonded and blended and unified into that which had every appearance of being a cetacean, yet that which now possessed a spirit complex of third-density level.
thusly, the natural process of reproduction gradually invested all of these species with third-density consciousness. consequently, you and the whales and dolphins are indeed brothers, moving through the third-density major cycle of 76,000 or so of your years
