View Full Version : Sleep paralysis or Alien adbuction?
think i had another out of body experience, this time when i returned i felt an unknown entity jumped on top of me creating an invisible force.
i tried to wrestle it moving my arms but it created like whirling fields that were amazingly powerful, it was really stronger than me.
i have heard you can materialize swords and other weapons, there is even an
obe team that fights these entities.
thoughts appreciated.

i've had sleep paralysis invlovling this, but i often break out of this by either yelling some kind of command in the name of a supreme being or i try to shut my "dream eyes" very tightly and focus on something else (perhaps of flying away). you might even get teleported into a dream or somtheing...or wake up lol wearing a blind fold seems to help me in sleep paralysis when i'm afraid of getting seeing things through my physical eyes by accident. sometimes this can distort you're mind's eye vision....i think.
hope that helps.

i personally haven't had an obe (while awake anyways) but i have been reading a book which describes just what you are going through. here is what they describe.
after a twenty-four hour contemplation of the event, i have at least some speculation. there is the possibility that the entire thing could have been hallucination or dream superimposed over my complete consciousness. if so, i can see how those with paranoia have great difficulty in choosing which is reality. if it is symbolism, it is fairly evident. the “entities” around me are no more than a product of me. the visualization of them as my children is pretty hard to interpret in any other way than to show they are mine (i created them, my children). therefore, they belong to me, and are neither good nor bad. i still don't know what they are. are they disassociated parts of me, or thought entities i have created from continuing thought patterns habitually? what do i do about them? who does the man in the robe represent? this will take more than twenty-four hours to understand. however, the next time, if there is one, i certainly will try to maintain a more calm objectivity, less fear, and an analytical approach.
after lifting out, i again felt what i knew to be one of the rubbery entities on my back. no words or action, just the small body clinging warmly to my back. this time, i did not get too frightened, and managed to pull at the thing slowly. i pulled, and called to god to help me (at the insistence of several people who are more theologically inclined than i).
again, the thing stretched as i pulled, but didn't come off completely. i remembered the visualized thought of fire, and that it hadn't seemed much use, but had helped a little. this time, i tried thinking of electricity. i visualized two pieces of highly charged wire. i mentally stuck them into the side of that part of the entity that i had pulled off. immediately the mass deflated, went limp, and seemed to die. as it did, a bat-like thing squeaked past my head and went out the window. i felt that i had won. i felt deep relief and went back down into the physical, reintegrated, and sat up (physically).
the whiskers were the clue! i need no longer worry about the “man” on my back. he's still there, but now i know who he is. this time, after being scared back into the physical some five times, i got up a 63
little more courage. i moved out slowly, just out of the physical, and felt the body on my back the same as before, the whiskered head on the back of my neck, the panting in my ear. carefully, so the movement would not be taken as a hostile one, i reached back and moved the palm of my hand over the face behind me. it had whiskers, and they were very real. the panting continued, the body stayed there pressed to my back, so i re-entered the physical.
i sat up physically, and thought about it. as i did so, i pensively moved my hand across my chin. i needed a shave, i thought absently, then stopped. i rubbed my chin again. the feeling was too familiar. just exactly the same as when i rubbed the chin of—-could it be? then i noticed that my throat was dry, as if i had been breathing through my mouth, as one does when …
there was one way to find out. i lay down, and after a short while, i was able to generate the vibrations. slowly i moved out of the physical. yes, i felt it. there was the body again, the whiskers against my neck, the panting in my ear. i reached back carefully and felt the face with the whiskers. it was the same as my own. i held my breath, or thought of so doing, and the panting stopped in my ear. i breathed again, once, twice, then held my breath again. the “body” behind me panted in exact synchronization. the warm body clinging to my back was me!
i went back into the physical, sat up, and thought about it. the question is, which was which? thinking it over, it seemed that the one in back—-the one i could hear and feel—-was the physical “i” and the “i” in front was the mental or real “i”. i assume this because the physical sensations and related action were in the rear body, while thought was in the front “i”. confusing, but very real.
from then on, i had no problem when i experienced the sensation. speak of people being afraid of their own shadows!
pm me if you want more info on this.

a few people in another forum have experienced "negatives" enitities during their meditations and obe.
to get rid of them they are told to say
"those not of light and love leave" three times....
though i have not experienced this myself, many have submitted that it has worked for them.

know that you are love, and love is the highest force in all creation.
nothing can harm you unless you are tricked into believing it can.
i have read also, and this resonates with me, that the higher your vibrational frequency, the more "invisible" you become to the lower ones. :)

i experienced a lot of nightmares as a young child, but when i prayed for help i had this mystical sort of experience....after that i knew i would always be protected- all i had to do was ask.

sorry, i mesread you,
it thought you were experienceing pysical harm from your attack.my advice would be just to fight watever it is yourself and overcome it.
but if it got really bad sincerly ask for help from god.
ive read a few times that this helps greatly when put of body:)
thanks all for the responses,
it was at a midday nap, and i was feeling i was on the verge of spiritual breakthrough (ultimate bliss), laying down when i felt this thing jump on my bed.like i was completely out of line.
i just managed to get out "go to hell"
i forgot to mention the night after there was a van burned down on my street, like a chain of unfortunate events, i think these nasty beings are trying to hold on to the last moment, they know their time is up.
like when in the bible they tell jesus, why do you bother us the time isn´t yet.

i have many terrifying experiences when i sleep. i wake and i cannot move for a few minutes, but it seems to last longer. i have read about sleep paralysis, and my experience is very similar, but sometimes i am choking and can feel something in my troat, it is extremely uncomfortable, when i wake my tongue and lips seem swollen and i am shaking, it takes a few minutes to calm down, the experience haunts me and has effected my life, i am afraid of sleeping now. what do i do, does anyone have similar experiences.

this is called "astral projection" or an obe.
in reality, that "force" is what it feels like when your body awakens a smidge before your "spirit" is back in it! it feels like someone is choking you or holding you down and sitting on your chest.
people throughout history have called this attempted posession, alien attacks, or just attacks in general. but its all you! :)
dont be scared, it just means your spirit was out and about while you were sleeping and had a hard time getting back in before something awoke your material body.
i good and oft suggested way to deal with this is to proclaim to yourself/higher self before you sleep that you either do not want to leave your material body tonight, or to please help you transition smoothly and without those awful feelings. concentrate really deeply when you say so and try for more than just 2 days. it will help.

i had this happen very frequently for years, it was very scary at the time.
finally i started sending love to whatever it was that bothered me. i stayed in the paralyzed position for what felt like hours sending love until i really meant it.
and it's never happened again.

this happens to me a lot too, sometimes i can feel myself get tired and weak going into sleep paralysis. i can hear and sense things still but i feel paralyzed. i try to take control and open my eyes or move my arm and i can't for a while until i really fight it. the idea scares me still, not being in control and i don't wanna go into an obe attracting negative entities so i try to wake up. only one time was i not scared and had let go and i had a profound experience, it was like i was in another dimension full of colors and when i spoke my voice was not my own and it sounded weird and i could see the energy of the words i spoke come out my mouth and change into beautiful colors.

i used to experience sleep paralysis and night terrors on a disturbingly frequent basis. it was especially bad if i was sleeping somewhere unfamiliar.
there were numerous times that i swore there was...something evil present
during these occurences. apparently, this is a common element to both conditions.
i am not entirely sure if it's medication, education, or a combination of both that have caused both to fade away. i was raised in a christian religion that made a big deal of demons, and i think my fear contributed alot to the things i experienced. that can be read as fear having created the experiences, or attracted negative entities or maybe a little of both.
either way, i do not fear the dark anymore, and am very glad i no longer experience these things. my angels take very, very, good care of me.

i have ran into the negative entities before, so i am not discounting that as a possibility. however, i saw a discovery channel show one time where they where doing brain studies on people that this happens to alot. they found that when it was happening more often than not it was due to a temporal lobe spasm.
the then artificially induced these temporal lobe spasms on people that had never had the natural occurance. the sensation that these participants described after was exactly what you are describing. the feeling that someone or something was holding them down to the bed. they also say the felt a scary presence.
i believe that i have myself had both kinds of experiences. the brain spasm kind and also the negative entity. the distinct difference was that when it was an actual negative entity, it was not just generalized pressure holding me down. it was also accompanied by an assault. in other words, the feeling of hands holding me by the arms or even one time by the thoat.
i have eluded these happenings for quite some time by inlisting help from higher dimensions for protection. here is what i say to envoke this assistance...
"angelic forces, watch over me when ever i am entering a sleep cycle and protect me from malevolent forces"
ever since i did this i have not had the entity type paralysis again.

for years i have experienced this, since about the age of 6 and when i was 6 it seemed like it went on for something rediculous like an hour or so (though i am sure this has something to do with a childs perception of time).
all through out my life i have phases where this happens on a regular basis, it has never thoroughly gone away so far, sometimes i sense a real evil presence around, i mean a certain and absolute terrifing presence and instantly i recoil with a great blue anger (the way i imagine my angst at these times). this seems to help me out mentally and cope with the more negative of these occurences, most other times it is just a case of awaking with this and doing my best not to panic until i stop suffocating. though at all times i can just about feel myself exhaling and inhaling.
and to qoute kassandraloves
"dont be scared, it just means your spirit was out and about while you were sleeping and had a hard time getting back in before something awoke your material body. "
not that i am doubting what you say as i dont know enough of this to do so but i must say what you said seems very strange to imagine being conscious without the spirit abound us with memory recall and everything. again nothing i know much off, it just invoked very strange thoughts/feelings.

i once had a negative entity try to take over me while i was in a twilight sleep, all i did was say if you do not come in the name of love/light then leave, i said it in a very loving way. i then said i hope to see you when you become positive. its was reluctant but left. if you fight these entities you will lose.
and i know i sound like a saleman but i have a book from a guy that adresses this exact issue and he deals with it multiple times, only to find out later it was not as bad as he imagined, pm if you want the pdf of the whole book. it helped me a bunch understanding obes

my first oobe was a total case of sleep paralysis, wherein i could "see" my room, though it was a bit surreal, but could not move my body. my reaction was fear and panic. i wondered if i'd eaten bad food, was somehow poisoned, given drugs...i had no clue. i remained in the state for what seemed many minutes until eventually, as nothing happened and i didn't seem to die or anything, my panic faded, and so did the curious charge, very much like a current, that was running through my body. then i didn't "see" my room anymore, and for a moment was just "asleep" until i opened my physical eyes and saw it again.
sleep paralysis can definitely be a part of the out-of-body experience. in ways though it might be considered a purely mental state. when in the states of consciousness that allow "astral travel", remote viewing, out-of-body experiences, one isn't using the physical body. the paralysis occurs when one mistakes the state they are in and attempts to use the inappropriate body for that state. the trick is to be clear that you are more than your physical body. it will continue chugging along, breathing, snoring, and farting while you can hit the astral highway. let it snooze, you've got free time to explore!
which isn't to say the experiences cannot be terrifying - i understand well as i've had that experience too. but regardless of my opinions about the experiences, whether i felt fear or love, those experiences left me with the full knowledge there is far, far more than that which we perceive within this mundane 3d world.
and really, there are very few true pioneers in this line of research. i would like to beseech that the moderators, for the sake of this thread and the many people who are having experiences that require greater understandings, allow me to mention one of the first and foremost. as he has moved on from this plane already as well perhaps his name could just be said and everyone can then go on from there. if not, pm me etc etc blah blah blah.
robert a. monroe.
when i had my first experiences it was this man's books about his experiences, which began in the late 1950's, that gave me as unbiased a perception as is possible about an incredibly personal and world-, heck, universe-view changing experience.

whoa yeah a similar experience happened to me while i was at my cottage (i seem to have weird dreams there, now when i think about it).
i was woken up when i noticed that something was "speaking" to me, although not audible in the regular sense. it was saying "we will trap you in the physical domain" and i remember my friend who's very intuitive say with me within this bizarre dream "no you will not trap us in the physical".
i then woke up, hearing some movement outside of my tent, though it didn't seem entirely "real". i woke myself up further and the ephemeral movements stopped. but then as i tried to go back to sleep, i could feel myself going into sleep paralysis, and i started hearing the movement outside of my tent again.
so i stopped the event, staying up for a good hour or so but using that time to do some positive visualization and creativity excersizes. then to top it all off, before i finally went back to sleep, i heard a pack of wolves howling in the distance.
definitely both a somewhat terrifying but illuminating experience. remember, it all depends on your awareness levels and the methods you select to use. the wolf call was like the universe saying "awesome job man!"
knowledge and faith will set you free ;)

very interesting to hear all your responses,
i occasionally experience these episodes as well--they are the most frightening experiences i have ever gone through. from what i can recall, my paralysis or catatonia lasts only a few minutes. i awake from my sleep state, but i know that my "body isn't awake" ... i think about trying to move my legs and arms, but cannot. at times i can send out a cry or some kind of loud, prolonged mumbling sound, but that's it.
my most recent episode happened just a few days ago and i'm "surprised" at finding a thread on this topic ... ... what a coincidence ;)
this last one was different than all the others because i finally did something i had never done before: i (mentally) spoke to whatever entity i felt was in control of the happenings, and i told "it" or the powers that be, or whoever/whatever was listening that ... i wasn't scared.
i think i may have even remembered an important lesson from ra which states that we are to feel everything that presents itself in our life--and this includes fear and hopelessness. i was basically at my wit's end and i did find the courage to open my eyes and try to look at whoever/whatever was preventing me from marrying my physical body consciouness with my deeper consciousness or spirit ... it's hard for me to remember but i think i told it that i was willing to experience this fear of dissonance it was sending me.
and then ... calm. i still hadn't regained control of my body, but the calmness one has when they do realise they are in control slowly started to grow. i laid there in bed in almost an "emily rose" position ... lol ... and then all became normal. 10 or 15 minutes must have passed, and it was all over.
that was the first time i ever had the presence of mind to "fight back."
;)

i have monroe's e-book and it is a good one. i'm still struggling, however, with the entire range of sleep issues: lucid dreaming, dream recall, astral travel and oobes.
the most i've managed to do so far is recall a simple one-liner from my dreams. last night it was 'be the voice of the people'....hmmm:confused:
every morning i wake up exhausted as though i've been on a tiresome journey throughout the night. maybe i have been and just cannot remember.:)

last night i experienced a dream loop where i was dreaming about lying in bed trying to sleep. i thought i was awake at first and then would realize i was still dreaming, or so i thought. i would try to wake up but couldn't. each time i thought that i had succeeded in waking up, i realized that i was still dreaming. my roommate got up for work and i tried to call his name so he would respond and wake me up, but all i could manage was a low mumble. i also tried getting out of bed, but each time i would try to move, the "dream" would restart and i would be back in bed.
i think this was a limited obe where i was out of my body, but still in the vicinity of it. i was aware of my surroundings, but couldn't move or interact with them. i have had a similar experience to this before.
fortunately, this ended at some point and i proceeded to either travel to the astral plane or have two very fun lucid dreams.

wow,
i'm glad to have come across this thread. i've had these episodes off and on since i was a teenager. they are almost always terrifying and i've never had a satisfactory explanation for them.
i've had all the experiences everyone else has mentioned including the sensation that while paralyzed, something is jarring the bed, almost like when your cat or dog jumps on the bed and starts walking all over the place. that's what most of them feel like.
the first experience from years ago is still the most vivid and i'm sure i left my body but it wasn't pleasant. i remember feeling my body pinned down, but somehow i rose up out of it and i felt like i had been compressed into a small sphere. then, i was violently sucked out of my room and down the hall to my sisters room, at a very fast speed and began spinning in the air over her bed, like i was doing somersaults but still wrapped up in this little ball. and then, i got sucked back into my body and woke up.
the most recent one was just a month or so ago, and i was half dreaming but awake enough to realize i couldn't move. in the "dream" i had some sort of key that these other people wanted and and they had pinned me down and were trying to pour dirt and gravel down my throat. for the first time i fought this off by yelling at the entities (these dream people), saying "you are in the light now! you are in the light!" they then disappeared and i woke up.
it these are obe's, maybe now knowing that, i will have a more pleasant one the next time.
thanks.

hi all.
i think i've finally managed to control the sleep paralysis as far as i can tell, in a way that it doesn't scare me or make me feel out of control anymore.
now i'm actually trying to get more out of these experiences, namely i'm trying to "get up and walk around" while in this state and further investigate the surroundings. but i can't no matter what i try, i just feel glued to my body, floating an inch above it, incapable to move. i haven't had an actual obe for many years now, and i've definately lost the skills. trying to induce the obe from an awaken state just fails.
so has anyone tried "walking around" from this sleep paralysis state? or what would you recommend in order to proceed with an obe ?
thanks, felix.

i had a wierd dream that someone was knocking at my bedroom door in the middle of the night and i remember answering what! in my sleep and then it knocked again. like i was expecting it but at the same time i wasn't expecting any company.also dreams of having conversations with people and doing things but i don't recall them. have not had a good night sleep for a long time either so i wonder if we are doing things like helping other aliens and people in some way.

i have often wondered if people who are in comas leave their bodies and wander, unable to leave this earth(completely) because their body is still alive, which is why more and more people are convinced to "pull the plug" on their loved ones. maybe that's a bit conspiracy, crazier schemes have been hatched on this planet, though.
i started thinking about this when recently my mom brought me over her 'living will' to sign, and one for myself.
i also remember reading about a person who was in a paralyzed state, i believe there's a movie about him, and he recalls oob experiences, including delving into his past. but it was recorded as him dreaming heavily due to his paralysis. and really, who can solidly prove otherwise?

honestly when i first started to have obe's and sleep paralysis. i was afraid of it at first because i could not get up when i was concious. i would always end up moving by pure will power. i also thought it was some type of abduction going on, and i was afraid of it sometimes. but this is actually a good thing since it happens right before you dream i believe. the reason some people are contacted negatively is because they know that thats part of the beginning of your other brain power! once you start to feel the positive side conciously even if it's just the beginning steps, the negative side does as well. they accomplish their goals through fear, which is something that i knew they used. so i decided to ignore the negative voices around me and just listen to my soul!!!!

hi, use to have lots of sleep paralysis, sometimes it would be the not being able to move , other times not being able to breath. i was doing a dream interpretation workshop and somebody brought up the subject, at this point i didn't realize there was a term for what i was experiencing, the facilitator stated that when we go to sleep spirit turns down the physical body so we can use the dream body and sometimes they might forget to put all the switches back to normal, a kind of oops! the interesting thing is the next morning i had a form of paralysis that i had not experienced before , i didnt know who i was or where i was for what seemed like several minutes, i feel someone was trying to prove a point. from then on i asked they pay particular attention to the switches as i had had enough of these experiences and lo and behold i have not had an experience since, that was ten years ago by the way.love and light.
