there is a spot on the course i manage where you must hit your tee shot through some high voltage power lines. amazingly, when you get the ball between two of the lines, which are a good few feet apart, the lines arc electricity. the arc of electricity is visible and hits the golf ball. the result is the golf ball flying off in an angular direction into the woods.
when i first saw this a couple of years ago it never sat well with my then paradigm of electrical science. that paradigm being the school tought one. when i read the section in richard hoaglands book dark mission about the energy created by a spinning spheres, eureka. i had assumed that the electricity was comming from the electric lines. turns out due to the hyperdimensional energy created by the ball that is spinning from 2800-3500 rpm the electricity was comming from the ball, and into the lines.
this is repeatable on a reliable basis. so long as you can grip it and rip it.:d
