a couple of days ago i was switching through the channels and ended up watching mtv for a while. i used to watch it when i was a kid but the shows have gotten so ridiculous lately that i cant stand to watch it. i caught the show right when it went to commercial break when a 30 second clip came on of russell brand talking. i just found out today that he is hosting the video music awards, so i guess thats why it was aired. what he said on the commercial however was what surprised me. he said, and this is all i can remember, dont forget....that reality is just an illusion and we are really all connected and one in this universe. thats just a summary. i wish i could find the video online but nothing is coming up anywhere. i just wanted to share it with everyone because it made me extremely happy to hear this being said on a mainstream channel. i think the truth is starting to reach the masses!

i've seen this guy on leno a few months ago. he is a rather interesting chap.

it is on clip 3 of 5 and here is what he says:

i agreed to host the mtv vma awards as a stepping stone from which i could launch a global revolution in which we will recognize the material world is an illusion. ideas such as finance, borders and control are all meaningless and only exists if we allow them to. that within ourselves is the divine light of god, that we are connected to all time, and all people through breath and divinity.

wow. i've seen brand in a movie and i've seen some funny clips online, but i had no idea he had depth. very impressive and encouraging. i'll be closely following this character now :)
