30 billion dollar spaceport planned

i thought this was interesting. the uae is planning to build a 30 billion dollar spaceport. they claim it is primarily for space tourism. considering the relatively small market for such a industry, such a large scale space port would seem unnecessary. i think they are getting ready for something much more spectacular. you be the judge.

i remember they have been planning this for over 10 years or so. it's not a bad idea. they believe it's the best way to produce cash for space exploration. look how much people pay to fly in the space shuttle.

but they have been talking about this for a long while now.
