hello
found something interesting in an online edition of a newspaper where i live. its about synchronisity regarding the quake in china, the olympics later this year and the number 8 (8 = olympic rings). its just a small chapter regarding "chinese superstition", but still interesting.
its goes something like this:
many people claim it could not be coinsidental that the earthquake measured 8,0 on the richthers scale and took place exactly 88 days before the beijing olympics games opens at 08.08 am on the 8 august 2008.
im not sure what to make of this. if i remember right the quake was 7.9, but thats not so important i feel. wether the 88 days suggests synchronisity, coinsidense or something else, it's interesting either way. strange synchronisity though (if so), as the mystical start date of the olympics are obvious intentional...

ive posted this before but ill post again-i find great feelings of troubles that china is supposed to be doing an experiment during the olympics to try to control the weather so it wont rain. the last place i want to be during the olympics is in the 'bird nest'.

a lot of people say that there is a way to create earthquakes, it might be a deliberately timed man made quake to provoke china into doing something, like cash in it's dollars to rebuild etc

i sure have hope and faith that "love thy neighbor" is stronger than any human controlled idea that is opposite to love.
my love goes out to all those folks that have prepared china for the past many years for this special event that brings many "neighbors" together in a show of unity and support of each other in a human expression called "games". although, truly, the games have been playing out for decades.
i send thoughts of peace, joy and rich experiences of mankind in a safe and pleasant environment. the teams, coaches, individuals that have prepared for a life time, may they find what they are searching for and may they also gather the love that will be present and share with the rest of the world in days ahead.
let 2008, the 1 year, be as one.

in numerology, part of what the number 8 represents is the drive and ambition for material wealth and success. i know that china is super ambitious right now.

hello everyone,
i've always thought of 8 as infinity on it's side. i was reading an interesting article a couple of days ago but can't find it now. but here's some similar pages regarding the number 8 & it's meaning in the tarot.
"the number 8 is that of the sephirah hod, eternal order, or splendor. eliphas levi says: "it represents motion, yet also, and more than all, stability; it reconciles the opposed laws of nature, explains eternity by time, faith by knowledge, god by man. it is the number of eternal life, which is maintained by the equilibrium of motion." this is the only cube among the integers, formed by the double multiplication of the duad (2 x 2 x 2). here' for discerning students, is an important clue to the occult significance of 8. another is that by its extension it produces 36, a number representing the combination of the triad and the senary or understanding and beauty. finally, the sephirah hod is the seat of "the intelligence of the secret," and the secret is that of the direction of the great magical agent. even the shape of the figure 8 is a hint of that secret. far more than a hint is given in the symbolism of the eighth major trump in mr. waite's pack, entitled strength."
from http://altreligion.about.com/library/texts/bl_casetarot10.htm
and more about the strength card:
"the strength cards represents the control over material forces. the lion is a symbol of the fire within or the kundalini force that sits coiled within us at the base of the spine. the woman is symbolic of the subconscious, which controls vital functions without the need of conscious thought. she controls the lion with a gentle spiritual touch rather than from brute force. this card falls under the vibration of the number 8."

8 also looks like some representations of the torus fields representing a current of energy

but the chinese do think of it a little differently...

i found another reference to 8 in venus transits http://www.lunarplanner.com/hcpages/venus.html with excellent animations showing the cyles of venus forming a shifting five-pointed star.
and this interesting excerpt describing the cycle we are currently right in the middle of:
"return of the goddess
when venus lies directly in front of the sun and in line with earth, the resonances of venus are highly focused (emblazoned) upon the earth--inspiring a new level of "intuitive awareness" to permeate earth and spread in and through human consciousness. this specific transit pair (2004-2012), because it coincides with the holy cross, strongly supports the reintegration and emergence of the divine feminine principle in our world--which desperately awaits the guidance and balance of the goddess. the venus synodic cycle becomes extra significant when a venus transit occurs."
