when reading some of the ra materials, ra said something about fourth density issues with ignoring nourishing themselves.
then i was thinking some here say that children born now are already 4th density.
is this the reason it's so hard for me to get my kids to eat? :d

i too have a really hard time getting my children to eat. especially my youngest who is 2yrs old. my two boys seem like they could live on just bread and milk/water. they love milk...ive done alot of reading about milk these days, most say dont drink it, that we need to drink rice milk or something like that. i must admit, im a lover of milk and breads too.

hi litllady & pol,
i have two teenaged boys who love milk and they go through about 4 litres (1 quart?) a day. i don't hold it back because i think boys needs more protein and animal products than girls do. and we've outlawed the bgh (bovine growth hormone) in canada.
but, i want to caution about rice milk and soy milk. many of those products contain a lot of sugar in order to make them palatable so you have to watch that! i think the symptoms of adhd are often related to sugar & food additive consumption, especially red food colouring. probably these kids that are already 4d are more sensitive to these additives than we were...i don't know?
the staples of my kids' diet are milk & brown rice and then i guilt them into eating at least one apple a day and hopefully some veggies...and i try to keep processed food out of the house as much as possible.
just my two cents :-)
best,
stacy

me too, exactly the same. i could live on bread and peanut butter, and same with my 3 1/2 year old.....we only eat other stuff because we supposedly "should" lol. :)

i have heard that these kids are very fussy eaters. they are picky and don't like a lot of things. like they intuitively know what is good for them and what is not.

regarding milk, if you are lucky, you can get raw milk in your nearest health food store, but very few states allow raw milk to be sold.
currently raw milk is still available in california, but there's a state "standards" guillotine hang'n over the raw milk producer and a lot of people are adamant of the superiority of raw milk v.s. pasteurized milk, organic or not. i've been a raw milk drinker for years and i love it. i sure as hell wish that i had raw milk as a kid.
my big sis, who is in her 50's now, has not consumed any milk products for 30 years and she was very skeptical when i bet with her that she'd not only be able to digest the raw cow's milk (the full, creamy version), she'd ask for more. so i bet her one gallon of raw milk on this. she lost the bet and went out and bought me a gallon of raw milk...and herself another gallon of raw milk.
if you are in a state that does not allow raw milk to be sold, your best bet then would be a local goat/cow farm and to approach the farmer directly in search for "pet" milk to feed to your "pets".<wink> always call it "pet" milk and that'll be "legal". your kids will love the raw milk and prefer it over the cooked/dead milk. stupid state laws. the laws are there to protect the corporate factory milk farms, as well as to deny people truly healthy food.
i'm done with 3-d already. too much bs here.

my mom bought a "share" of a cow in colorado and gets her raw milk that way!

cool...
yeah, well if you have more energy in your cells already you would need to eat less and probably hate foods that would leech energy out of you.
see if your kids like raw vegetables...when i was a little one, i refused to eat cooked vegetables. i didn't understand why people would cook them when they were already awesome to start out with.
i remember telling my parents they were "ruining" the vegetables. so my parents would set them aside and i would chow them down.
even these days, i'm still a raw guy. sushi could be my staple, but the mercury has impacted my cash making capabilities ;)
just kidding. but i do wonder about that...
well this is an interesting discussion. i have been trying to cut dairy products out of my diet recently as most dairy is pasteurized and therefore doesn't have much nutritional value. the pasteurization process apparently destroys a lot of the nutrients. i was reading that a majority of the world's population is lactose intolerant as well. the consensus on the anti-milk websites i've been on seems to be that we are simply not adapted to drinking cow's milk after about age 7. children can handle it fine but it seems it holds little benefit for adults. also dairy is supposedly 'mucus forming'. from what i've read consuming a lot highly mucus forming foods like dairy products can have detrimental effects on the colon. interesting it's also the same type of foods that david mentioned as contributing to the calcification of the pineal gland that are supposedly the most mucus-forming (white flour, white rice, dairy etc.). i think it's definitely beneficial for the body if you eat a high proportion of alkaline foods- most raw fruits and vegetables fall into this category. still it's very important to enjoy your food, i never rule things out of my diet completely that i enjoy but i try to keep things like pizza occasional!
