hello to all,
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2008/17apr_magnetotail.htm
"on the moon's dayside this effect is counteracted to a degree by sunlight: uv photons knock electrons back off the surface, keeping the build-up of charge at relatively low levels. but on the nightside, in the cold lunar dark, electrons accumulate and voltages can climb to hundreds or thousands of volts.
walking across the dusty charged-up lunar terrain, astronauts may find themselves crackling with electricity like a sock pulled out of a hot dryer. touching another astronaut, a doorknob, a piece of sensitive electronics—any of these simple actions could produce an unwelcome zap. "proper grounding is strongly recommended," advises stubbs."
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2008/10apr_moondustinthewind.htm
"when it comes to electrostatic charging, grains of moondust are individualists capable of eccentric and surprising behavior. for instance, in one experiment conducted by abbas, pelting a positively charged grain of moondust with electrons (which carry a negative charge) caused the grain to exhibit a more positive charge. consider that grain a contrarian! abbas thinks that each electron hitting the grain dislodged two or more electrons already there, resulting in a net increase of positive charge.
not all moondust behaves this way. how each grain reacts depends on a variety of factors including the grain's size, the charge it already carries, and the number of free electrons incoming."
peace to all,
lynette

moon water found, raises questions about origin theoryanne minard
for national geographic news
july 9, 2008
water found in moon matter counters the long-held belief that earth's satellite is bone dry, researchers announced today.
geologists used new technology to coax water molecules from volcanic glasses brought back decades ago by two apollo missions.
the researchers believe the water was ejected along with magma when "fire fountains" erupted more than three billion years ago from the moon's surface.
the finding raises new questions about the long-standing "giant impact" theory, which holds that the moon was formed more than a billion years prior to that when a mars-sized body slammed into earth and sent debris into orbit.

ever since some moon images were posted back in august at the ats (above top secret) forum, i continue to have ats viewers bringing this material to my attention and asking me about it. the deal in that reporting at ats is that the source material is suppose to be from an old private collection and uncensored. this concept is also apparently rubber stamped by some well know people in this field who should know.
this of course suggests that some interesting unobscured anomalous evidence might be obtained from this material. this turns out to be the case and it is worth your time to visit the material at this ats link and see some examples there.
the "spires" evidence presented there are of particular interest to me as they could offer a measure of support for my own discovery of obscured huge towers on the moon in the navy/dod clementine data in my report #067 and report #068. however, right off i noticed that every one of these spires was the same uniform dark color without respect to light reflectivity variations and it looked once again like image tampering covering these objects to me. likewise, dark shadows seem to fill the entire bottoms of craters without necessarily conforming to true sunlight angles and this dark shadow shading also occurs out in open areas where no shadows should be at all.
then very quickly i then ran across an image panel at http://ser-sese-asu-edu/lo/lo2-70-h3b in the official science data available at arizona state university who also handles the mro satellite data. in my opinion, just about everything in this image is fake and this is easily detectable by just about anyone. the sample section of the image as appears below will demonstrate this.

the above first image is merely a context image from strip as17-140-21494hr to familiarize you with the general evidence scene and the relationship of the objects in it to each other. note the huge rock in the foreground on the left, the large hill in the top background on the right, and the dark sky in the mid and left top background. the rover you see just to the right of the large rock is part of the apollo 17 mission to the moon. far in the background just above the sight line over the top of the rock in the distance is the location of the lander and of course is where the rover came from. the faintly seen large depression with gentle sloping sides in the background between the rover and the lander is shallow henry crater.
you should know that the apollo 17 mission was the last apollo mission and the last publicly acknowledged manned mission where astronauts walked on the moon. there were three astronauts involved. one was commander ron evans the command module pilot orbiting around the moon when this scene was shot. the two that landed on the moon were eugene cernan crew commander and harrison schmitt lunar module pilot and geologist respectively. the lander set down on the moon on 12/15/1972 and the two men conducted three excursions lasting just over 7 hours each. they brought back 110.5 kg or 243.6 lbs. of moon samples to earth.
the landing site for this mission was on the rim of a moon mare. a mare on the moon is a lowland area dominated by fine sediment (regolith) filling it and coating everything as opposed to a more rough rocky region. the highlands you see 8 km in the background of this edge of mare location are known as massifs and all are named by that isn't important here. they are comparable to foothills here on earth.

anomalous images
page last updated: 11/01/2008 11:09 am (pacific time)
this is a new page but will be updated frequently.
this page is dedicated to lunar images that contain anomalous shapes and the like.
it is not a declaration of fact claiming there are artificial structures on the moon.
just some photos i found interesting enough to raise questions.
most web sites i've seen that have this same sort of material use low resolution images that have been blown up so big, it creates jpeg compression artifacts, major blurring and digital aberrations that are misidentified as artificial structures.
i try to avoid that as much as possible by using very large tiff images (15-25mbs) to locate questionable areas.
therefore, on tiff images larger than 1mb, it's recommended to right click and "save as".
some of the images were not available at the usgs site and i used the jpg versions at lpi.
although i converted most to jpg's after enlargement which reduces these artifacts.

this two part report is about moon evidence that may or may not be real. the first part is about general image tampering in the moon science data. i go to this trouble because you should at least be aware that the credibility of the data in general is often very questionable and so caution is advised in approaching anomalous information within it. the second part will be about some interesting anomalies and then it will be up to you to determine what you think about it all.

gravity anomaly detected by using 4-way doppler observation data from the rstar (okina) (rsat)
-new finding in study on the origin of dichotomy for the moon-
april 16, 2008 (jst)
kyushu university
national astronomical observatory of japan
japan aerospace exploration agency (jaxa)
jaxa announced a new finding of a gravity anomaly for both the near side and far side of the moon by using 4-way doppler observation data from the rstar (okina) with the main orbiter, the kaguya.
until now, the gravity anomaly of the far side of the moon has not been understood well. the gravity anomaly, which was obscure before, has been clearly revealed through observations by the kaguya mission. for instance, the gravity anomaly of a basin on the far side is found to be characterized by a negative anomaly in a ring like the apollo basin. on the other hand, the gravity anomaly of the basin on the near side is uniformly positive over the region such as with the mare serenitatis. thus, the clear difference in gravity anomaly on the near side and the far side has been newly discovered and this fact brings a different story about the structure of the underground and the history of the evolution of the far side and near side of the moon.
the gravity anomaly map for many regions will be developed more precisely and show the difference of gravity anomaly between the near side and the far side by adding more observation data. the latest observation data by the kaguya will play a key role to promote the study of the origin and the evolution of the moon. in addition, highly accurate lunar gravity distribution data will be useful for future lunar explorers.

here we go with more moon evidence again. the problem with evidence from this source hanging so close right over our heads every night is that the bulk of the imaging evidence dates back into the 1960s. those 1960s efforts were in turn the outgrowth of world war ii leadership loss of innocence in the 1940s when it came to the question of alien presence along with the development of the atomic age and the polarization of sides in the cold war right after the world war ii.
competition between east and west was fierce during the cold war while national pride and confidence in leadership issues were at stake all around. as the space race began and while school children were being trained to take cover under desks and tables in the event of a nuclear blast in their territory, let's face it, initially the russians were first and leading the way time after time beating the usa to the technology punch in spite of the fact that the west got the chief german scientists after world war ii and russia got the leftovers. here in the usa the old ussr leadership was perceived as some of the most ruthless people on the planet killing many millions and comparable to hitler himself. i personally lived through this time as a kid developing into a young man.
however, there is a difference in the matter of perception as well as who is doing the perceiving in those more simple times. here in the usa populations, academics, scientists, the media, and the great bulk of congressional leaders saw this space race as a matter of pride and achievement in technology. however, while some more hidden inside leaders saw it this way as well, they also saw it primarily as a race to achieve alien contact and advantage in a ruthless global power struggle where national survival itself hung in the balance. it was this environment and perception that bred and initiated the secrecy that we now live with to this day.
why? because emotional populations uncontrolled and undirected are the worst possible scenario from a leadership point of view. for example, if americans get really angry at the "sneak" attack on pearl harbor and flood into the military to "make things right" as they saw it and the doves in congress quickly convert to hawks freeing money for war, that is perceived as a good thing first directed at germany and then japan. in fact it might even have been a "directed" thing.
on the other hand, alien presence of unknown agenda that can't be denied scaring the crap out of entire populations who then demand of their leaders that this be "fixed" in some way when no one has a clue what to do about it is understandably not perceived by them as a good thing. that's because the next step is the hunt for those that may be better able and that means current leadership heads rolling and loss of too much control at minimum.
all of this means that anxiety is very high and that of course leads to extremes, compromises and secrecy. as a boy i remember when the sputnik satellite first went up. immediately on the heels of this, there was a newspaper story with a "leaked" photo showing a secret warehouse full of many satellites and the theme of the story was that we americans were already there development wise but that we wanted to take a slower more careful approach. as a older boy, i thought yea careful is good! in other words, i bought right into it. later as a man exercising good old hind sight and remembering all those satellites pictured in large numbers, i thought what a dummy i was to have bought into that obvious load of crapolla!

moon towers & shadows

i have been asked to enter into the discussions at the open minds forum at the thread located here. the reason i've been asked to participate is because the evidence under discussion is my own moon tower discoveries as sampled by the the above four images drawn from my 2004 moon report #067 and report #068. at the forum there is disagreement by a few with my analysis and it is based on the absence of any shadows in the surrounding terrain for these obscured huge objects. the alternative theory presented is that the blurred areas are really just imaging or processing artifacts. as you can see in the above four images, none of this evidence displays a shadow and that is the bone of contention.
i tried to explain that disagreement is a normal part of first the resistance and then the awakening process and that i really do not have time right now for diversions into forum arguments like this. however, they insisted. their insistence did not sway me but, upon reflection, the insistence reminded me that my weighing in on this may be of some interest to followers of this work and offer some additional insight that should not be confined to a forum response. besides, in this type of reporting, i get to bla, bla, bla as much as i want to without taking up someone else's web space. so i've made a place for it here.

why is it that the same side of the moon always points towards the earth regardless of moon orbit?
it might have something to do with it not being an original moon of ours. allegedly, according to various black ops testimony, the current moon was towed into orbit a few thousand years ago. therefore, it probably doesn't behave as a "normal" satellite would.

what if the moon was a chunk of earth crust and mantel that was knocked off by some impact. maybe the side of the moon that always points at the earth is the side that once attached towards the core. and maybe the structures on the moon were once structures on the earth and have been preserved in the space vacuum........

200,000 year old statue found on moon
washington, dc - a noted scientist has just produced proof that the lunar surface was inhabited by intelligent life: a 10-inch angel sculpture embedded in a moon rock.
geologist dr. morris charles revealed last week that nasa lab workers chipped the angel from one of the rocks brought to earth by apollo 11 astronauts 40 years ago, in 1969. dr. charles was a nasa scientist himself for 23 years but left the agency in 1987. he still maintains close ties to many of his former colleagues.
“the implications of this figurine are absolutely mind-boggling,” dr. charles told reporters. “it means that at one time the moon had an atmosphere conducive to life. and what’s more, it was once home to a sophisticated race of people with a highly refined sense of beauty.”
the angel - a humanoid female with wing-like appendages on her back and long flowing hair - is made of an iron compound found exclusively in the highlands of the moon.

the clockwork moon science ignores
by dale huffman
i don't know where you stand, dear reader, on the subject of whether or not our world shows deliberate design, but i can tell you something you may not know, because science absolutely refuses to admit it - to the public and to itself: there is positive evidence of design, and not chance, going on out there.
this is not the most popular tack for a writer - even a scientist like myself - to take today. it's true a steady 40% of the country feels comfortable telling pollsters they don't believe in the evolution theory science insists upon, which pointedly denies any design in the natural world (and which, ironically, is partly based on the evidence of domestic breeding, which are the designs of man, of course). but when it involves strong argument, the country tends to split right down the middle, so i think only about half of the 40% who really believe in design in the natural world want to see it brought up again here. so i'm probably ticking off 80% of my readers, and i'll just quote phoebe buffet (of *friends*) and say brightly: "okay... let's do it!"
one of the most outstanding indications of a deliberate design actually lies a short way out in space, with our nearest neighbor, the moon. the moon is about 240,000 miles from the earth on average. its diameter is 2160 miles, and it subtends an angle of 0.527 degrees, on average, as seen from the earth. that's about the apparent size of a dime seen from 6 feet away.

who built the moon?
an interview with christopher knight
many new dawn readers will know of british writer christopher knight from his first book the hiram key, which he co-authored with robert lomas and published in 1996.
quickly becoming a best seller, the hiram key was acclaimed a classic in the field of alternative history, going on to influence a generation of researchers among them the da vinci code’s dan brown.
in the last ten years knight has written six books, four with robert lomas and two, including his latest who built the moon?, with alan butler.
in who built the moon?, knight and butler raise some fascinating and challenging questions, foremost: could it be that the moon is artificial? could it even be hollow? and does the moon really exist through some happy accident, or is a blueprint apparent – and if so, who was the architect?
new dawn recently spoke with christopher knight about his controversial new book and his astonishing conclusions.

there are a couple of things that intrigue me about this. the purpose is to find out if there is water on the moon. but why now? why not years ago? and is taking a bite out of the moon really the best way to do this? will this have any impact on the tides? is it possible that if any ill effect were to be generated that a et intervention could occur (not planet side but intervene with the rocket)?
i just dont get a very good feeling about this for some reason. it seems like there is still this notion that blowing things up is always the answer. but hey, at least it only cost the taxpayers 76 million dollars (sarcasm). there are around a billion ppl on this planet that are hungry, but yet the ppl that have the means to change that would rather blow up the moon and give it away to crooked bankers. now, im not intending on going on a rant, but, the human mind does indeed intrigue me.
i welcome all input, has anyone had a dream about this, or any good/bad feelings about this?

july moon is the story of the lost nasa tapes, and the man who had them stored in a garage for over twenty years. the film tells the story of the race to space called for by president john f. kennedy, and continues as a nasa intern named gary george purchases the 2-inch magnetic tapes at a government surplus auction at ellington air force base. the fbi comes into play as nasa property is seen being thrown away as trash at georges parents home in houston, texas. buzz aldrin is enthralled while viewing the historic footage for the first time and recounts the famous mission and the moments leading up to neil armstrongs epic moment.

the smoking gun?

the standard cliche regarding evidence is the so-called "smoking gun"; that one crucial piece which, by itself, clearly "proves the case."
well, in terms of nasa -- and what they've been hiding on the moon for over 40 years -- we finally seem to have that piece--
our long-awaited smoking gun.
to understand the true dimensions of this startling and very recent development, we have to begin "at the beginning"; we have to start with the launch of nasa's first unmanned return mission to the moon in over ten years ....

it's official: water found on the moon
by andrea thompson
senior writer
posted: 23 september 2009
06:17 pm et
since man first touched the moon and brought pieces of it back to earth, scientists have thought that the lunar surface was bone dry. but new observations from three different spacecraft have put this notion to rest with what has been called "unambiguous evidence" of water across the surface of the moon.
the new findings, detailed in the sept. 25 issue of the journal science, come in the wake of further evidence of lunar polar water ice by nasa's lunar reconnaissance orbiter and just weeks before the planned lunar impact of nasa's lcross satellite, which will hit one of the permanently shadowed craters at the moon's south pole in hope of churning up evidence of water ice deposits in the debris field.
the moon remains drier than any desert on earth, but the water is said to exist on the moon in very small quantities. one ton of the top layer of the lunar surface would hold about 32 ounces of water, researchers said.
"if the water molecules are as mobile as we think they are — even a fraction of them — they provide a mechanism for getting water to those permanently shadowed craters," said planetary geologist carle pieters of brown university in rhode island, who led one of the three studies in science on the lunar find, in a statement. "this opens a whole new avenue [of lunar research], but we have to understand the physics of it to utilize it."

i've looked through the forum and see no one commenting on the explosion planned on the moon. i only just heard about it, since i don't watch or read the news. my friend who told me about it is a sceptic who would love to believe in et, but can't quite bring himself to.
he said that if the aliens didn't put a stop to the explosion, his belief in them would suffer. i personally don't need much more proof of their existence, but i do wonder about the true reason for this explosion for the government, since i have no belief in any media stories.
anybody got any info or thoughts?
yeah, i wondered about that too... given the uproar, you think we would have seen much more... or perhaps there was an intervention, and we are not meant to hear about it???

i can't say what happened yesterday with the moon "bombing", but i can say that it appears that something did indeed happen, even though nothing was seen. good ol' uncle hoagy (richard c. hoagland) was on rumor mill news yesterday afternoon to talk about just what had happend.
even though much of what he had to say about what could be was only speculation, it is of particular interest that obama's winning of the nobel peace prize came on the very same day (and without any prior information on his nomination) as this supposed double impact on the lunar surface.
i'm not in a position here to present any speculation of my own... i'll leave that to the rest of you, but i will say that what i saw yesterday was extremely suspicious and loaded with a wide variety of possibilities. ranging from either: "it missed." to "it was intercepted".
i happen to think the possible "interception" of the spent centaur rocket to be of particular interest. who intercepted it? why was it intercepted? and more importantly... how was it intercepted???
nasa's press conference proved yet again just what those four letters stand for: never a straight answer. the big difference this time around is the fact that the press was actually asking questions, and not getting any answers... at least nothing that was satisfactory to anyone. ;)
have fun with this one guys, and stay tuned to the news out there... i have a feeling this may stir up the pot more than anyone might have anticipated... and let's hope it does! :d

i agree with your comments, though i do not want to get bogged down on the conspiracy side of things (yet!) ;)
i saw the video on you tube and the "space command centre" looked like it was set up in someones spare room. the bit that made me think was the old guy in the "room" who looked like a long retired "captain birdseye" who should by now be haunting houses! oops - sorry! (gosh if that comment gets through the mods i will believe the moon is made of cheese!)
may i ask you where you got your idea that the rocket was possibly intercepted? i would be very interested to know.
personally i think that there is a lot more to it than what nasa have given out however that is pure speculation on my part. if there was an interception, and i hope there was (we have no right to go bombing the moon and i have been against it from the start) i say a big thank you to "them" for doing it. :p

the moon is a big sponge that absorbs electrically charged particles given out by the sun. these particles interact with the oxygen present in some dust grains on the lunar surface, producing water. this discovery, made by the esa-isro instrument sara onboard the indian chandrayaan-1 lunar orbiter, confirms how water is likely being created on the lunar surface.
it also gives scientists an ingenious new way to take images of the moon and any other airless body in the solar system.
the lunar surface is a loose collection of irregular dust grains, known as regolith. incoming particles should be trapped in the spaces between the grains and absorbed. when this happens to protons they are expected to interact with the oxygen in the lunar regolith to produce hydroxyl and water. the signature for these molecules was recently found and reported by chandrayaan-1’s moon mineralogy mapper (m3) instrument team.
the sara results confirm that solar hydrogen nuclei are indeed being absorbed by the lunar regolith but also highlight a mystery: not every proton is absorbed. one out of every five rebounds into space. in the process, the proton joins with an electron to become an atom of hydrogen. “we didn’t expect to see this at all,” says stas barabash, swedish institute of space physics, who is the european principal investigator for the sub-kev atom reflecting analyzer (sara) instrument, which made the discovery.

i have also read various reports indicating that the rockets never reached the moon. the concept that those rockets were intercepted by whomever and destroyed before they detonated or crashed is a common theme in the alternative news media. even the evidence that nasa observed a heat indicator is a positive indication that those rockets were destroyed before they hit the surface of that crater. i didn't mark the references which i saw today but will look back to identify those references.

during the first half of the program, george spoke with coast to coast am science advisor richard c. hoagland about nasa's recent moon-smashing mission. the lunar crater observation and sensing satellite, or lcross, sent two probes crashing into the moon's surface last friday morning, looking for signs of water (see video). scientists and lay spectators expecting to see the much-hyped impact event were let down when it appeared nothing had happened. the biggest observatories on the planet and even hubble saw nothing, hoagland said.
"there was and is a hidden agenda around this mission," he suggested. according to hoagland, lcross is part of a carefully constructed campaign to prepare the populace for imminent disclosure. the president of the united states will soon announce that scientists have discovered ruins on the moon, he added. nobody saw the lcross debris plume because the probes struck a building which swallowed the effects of the explosion, he continued. hoagland outlined some of the evidence that led him to this conclusion, and announced that the information would be available in a forthcoming paper on this website, enterprisemission.com.
hoagland also commented on an nbc special about the symbology in dan brown's new book, the recent balloon boy saga, an upcoming 2012 show on the syfy channel , and mass consciousness and the princeton eggs. these events are part of a cascade of "synchronicities that are driven by this increase in the background physics," he explained, noting that we can expect to see more leading up to the pivotal 2012 date. "there is something big coming," hoagland added.

found: first 'skylight' on the moon
23:54 22 october 2009 by rachel courtland
a deep hole on the moon that could open into a vast underground tunnel has been found for the first time. the discovery strengthens evidence for subsurface, lava-carved channels that could shield future human colonists from space radiation and other hazards.
the moon seems to possess long, winding tunnels called lava tubes that are similar to structures seen on earth. they are created when the top of a stream of molten rock solidifies and the lava inside drains away, leaving a hollow tube of rock.
their existence on the moon is hinted at based on observations of sinuous rilles – long, winding depressions carved into the lunar surface by the flow of lava. some sections of the rilles have collapsed, suggesting that hollow lava tubes hide beneath at least some of the rilles.

nasa's smoking gun: part ii
lcross' (and lro's) secret nasa mission to the moon ....
by richard c. hoagland
© 2009 the enterprise mission
the pre-impact nasa public relations campaign was irresistible ... and everywhere.
for perhaps only the second time in its history (the first was deep impact, but that was much further away ...), the space agency was publicly inviting "ordinary people" -- from every class, economic strata and age-group -- to participate in a unique, extraordinary, literally once-in-a-lifetime personal space experience--
the spectacular crash of a "nasa spaceship" directly into the surface of the moon ... with millions of americans watching live with their own eyes as it took place (below)!
at least, that's what everyone (with more than a bit of help from some spectacular nasa and contractor animations - above) thought they were being invited to observe ....
in fact, when both lcross spacecraft did hit the moon -- early friday morning, october 9th, at 7:31 am eastern daylight time--
no one ... anywhere on earth -- from the most psyched amateur to the professionals at the largest terrestrial observatories, even to the hubble space telescope itself in close earth orbit -- none of these folks or instruments saw anything actually hit the surface of the south pole of the moon!
instead, despite literally millions of americans eagerly watching ... straining to see something ... in reality, the only "direct observer" of this entire, over-hyped nasa affair, was--
nasa!

nasa discovers 'significant amount' of water on the moon
by daily mail reporter
last updated at 6:43 pm on 13th november 2009
a 'significant amount' of water has been found on the surface of the moon, nasa has revealed.
the discovery was made after scientists analysed the mile-high plume of debris created by the lcross mission last month, in which two us spacecraft were crashed into a lunar crater near the moon's south pole.
it was designed to throw up spray from any ice that was there - and today, nasa presented preliminary data showing the presence of water in the crater, where temperatures can dip lower than -170c.

indian scientists detect signs of life on moon

bangalore: scientists at the indian space research organisation (isro) are on the brink of a path-breaking discovery. they may have found signs of life in some form or the other on the moon.
they believe so because scientific instruments on india's first unmanned lunar mission, chandrayaan-1, picked up signatures of organic matter on parts of the moon's surface, surendra pal, associate director, isro satellite centre (isac), said at the international radar symposium here on friday.
organic matter consists of organic compounds, which consists of carbon -- the building block of life.
it indicates the formation of life or decay of a once-living matter.
pal said the signatures were relayed back to the bylalu deep space network station near bangalore by the mass spectrometer on board the indian payload, the moon impact probe (mip), on november 14, 2008.
the relay of data happened moments before it crashed near the moon's south pole. the mip was the first experiment of the chandrayaan-1 mission, which was launched on october 22, 2008.
pal, however, did not elaborate, but concluded saying "the findings are being analysed and scrutinised for validation by isro scientists and peer reviewers".
"it is too early to say anything," said the director of isro's space physics laboratory r sridharan, who is heading the team of mip data analysis and study. he, however, did not deny the finding.
dna later inquired with other senior chandrayaan-1 mission scientists, who not only confirmed the finding, but gave further details.

aristarchus crater has long been a much debated enigma on the moon. yet whenever you see pictures and try to get close in for details, the area is a total white out, with no detail. it is supposedly because of its brightness. we will discuss the rumors and stories of aristarchus further down. the image above is taken from lickosb9 as you can see the area is devoid of any gray pixels, leaving a totally white splotch. below is the same area on lickosba. again we see the totally white splotch. you will find this in all of the lesser quality full moon images on the web.

millions of tons of water ice found at moon’s north pole
by tia ghose
march 1, 2010 |
a moon probe has found millions of tons of water on the moon’s north pole, nasa reported monday. the vast source of water could one day be used to generate oxygen or sustain a moon base.
a nasa radar aboard india’s chandrayaan-i lunar orbiter found 40 craters, ranging in size from 1 to 9 miles across, with pockets of ice. scientists estimate at least 600 million tons of ice could be entombed in these craters.
the radar, called the mini-sar, sends pulses of left-polarized radio waves out to measure the surface roughness of the moon. while smooth surfaces send back a reversed, right-polarized wave, rough areas return left-polarized waves.

how much confidence do you have in your opinion of the moon's color? does it sound like a foolish question? surely anyone who has looked at the moon from earth on a clear night knows the answer. when high overhead it's obviously shades of silver/gray from light bright to dark and subdued. further, we've all been inundated with large numbers of images taken of the moon from earth, from hubble, from space craft approaching the moon, from orbit around it, and from astronauts on the moon's surface.
over and over this silver/gray color expectation and assumption is confirmed by the sheer numbers of images fed to us regardless of the source. for example, the above shades of silver/gray image of the moon taken as recently as september, 2009 from the indian chandrayaan-1 satellite is so typical of this. we are media saturated with such images and by the sheer numbers of seeing what we expect to see we just assume that the moon is this silver/gray and don't question it. but, is it really? now take a look at the image below.

moon zoo is an interactive project between nasa and the public, powered by the zooniverse engine. participants can mark craters, identify interesting features—fissures, abandoned space gear, alien outposts?—and help map the surface of the moon in unprecedented detail.
if you're going to take a break and do a little aimless browser clicking you might as well head over to moon zoo and be the one who discovers the long-lost moon death ray of dr. zindartha. have a favorite and fun project to share in the vein of moon zoo's crowd-sourced discovery?

ut researchers discover water on the moon is widespread, similar to earth’s
posted on july 21, 2010 1:48 pm
knoxville — researchers at the university of tennessee, knoxville, are once again turning what scientists thought they knew about the moon on its head.
last fall, researchers, including larry taylor, a distinguished professor in the department of earth and planetary sciences, discovered “lunar dew” on the moon’s surface — absorbed “water” in the uppermost layers of lunar soil. this discovery of water debunked beliefs held since the return of the first apollo rocks that the moon was bone-dry.
now, scientists, including taylor and yang liu, research assistant professor in the department of earth and planetary sciences, have discovered that water on the moon is more widespread — on the outside and inside of the moon — with some similarities to water in volcanic systems on earth.
their research will be featured in the article, “lunar apatite with terrestrial volatile abundances” in the july 22 edition of the scientific journal, nature.
unlike lunar dew which is believed to come from an outside source such as solar wind which brings hydrogen into contact with the moon’s oxygen, the water discovered by taylor and liu is internal, arising from an entirely different origin. how it got there is not yet known. the water may have been added by impacting comets, which contain ice, during or after the formation of the moon and earth.

"astronomers reporting on thursday in the us journal science said they had found previous undetected landforms which indicate that earth's satellite has been shrinking... albeit by only a tiny amount.
the intriguing features, called lobate scarps, are faults created when the moon's once-molten interior began to cool, causing the lunar surface to contract and then crinkle, they said."

the above 1st image from the apollo 8 moon data image as08-13-2225 demonstrates some kind of long skinny kinked bright reflective filament. this was brought to my attention by a sharp eyed viewer named tomas rodriguez. note that the object does not appear to be casting any shadow on the ground. this suggests that the object, if it is legitimate, is either laying directly on the ground or an object too far above ground and too slender to be throwing much of a shadow on the ground.
that is, if the object was legitimate, which it isn't. a little testing reveals that this object in my opinion came to be in the image after it was processed or while it was processed on a subsequent occasion. now that doesn't necessarily mean that this object is an intentional added fake as it could have been introduced by accident and especially if the original image was processed more than once over time to produce what we're look at now. remember that this is apollo 8 data from 1968, so it likely started out as film later to be transferred to digital media for us to have access to it online now in this time.
it is true that a great deal of the older data on film had to be scanned in to recreate it in digital format for display online. further, it appears that this process was apparently often conducted carelessly in an insufficiently clean environment where a lot tiny debris was also scanned in making its way into many of the digital images. a typical scenario would be hairs, etc.
on the other hand, if some of the original data was a little too informative from a secrecy agenda point of view, the involved process of transferring the data from the original older film media to newer digital media would have presented an additional opportunity to "fix" any "problems." the filament above may be a result of debris getting into the scanning process due to human carelessness but no such ambiguity exists with the next evidence below?

that is very interesting, and it does make one wonder as to how legitimate the moon landing actually was. with there being no visual disturbance on the ground from the thrusters also adds to curiousity. fair that the atmospere is extremely low in comparrison to that of earths therefore practically blowing the debree into space rather than have it land above the modules 'footing', its all very strange.
as for the pictures from hubble viewing the indentations which remained even after a crater was formed, could this be due to a form of magnetism in certain particles perhaps? i say this because it is evident with certain materials on earth, which will form directional patterns to coinside with our magnetic north and south poles, this is seen when mining minerals at depths, which i believe is also how scientists discovered that our polar nth and sth have moved over the course of earths history. even termites that build large bivverwacks in certain places will make them thin and will always point nth and sth.

warning! you need to know up front that this is not an upbeat report and perhaps not for those with very tender dispositions. it deals with matters that can be considered visually gruesome as well as subjective opinions of mine that may be interpreted as dark and disturbing to some. so you may wish to avoid this report if you're sensitive and very easily disturbed. truth is not always a pleasant path but for most of you exercising objectivity, i suspect the added insight will be worth it despite the dark evidence. you'll of course be the judge.
as many of you will have noted, my last few reports have been about official moon evidence where someone is trying to and fairly well succeeding in obfuscating moon truth in the imaging. now normally i try to minimize my reporting on just obfuscation but i've been using some select evidence in the past few reports just to try and demonstrate the point that obfuscation exists in absolute terms with respect to official moon exploration and that it should be taken seriously by you.
why? it's because i've personally come to a conclusion via my own discoveries that someone with very advanced technology and active is on the moon and it is not us. the evidence reported on by me in year 2004 (reports 66–71 links further down) drawn from the since recently sanitized navy clementine mission official science data weighs heavily in my thinking on this and i've seen nothing in the years since that reporting to moderate or dispel this very personal conclusion. also, from what i've seen of the japan, china, india, and russia missions to the moon, obfuscation continues to be even more thorough and effective than in the older us data. that strongly suggests that there continues to be something on the moon hidden from you and i in the public that is active and ongoing rather than ancient and long gone.

id agree with the idea that the moon landings were more than likely a hoax, some people will do almost anything in order to 'win', and dubbing it a space race begs for competition, and as you'd say, 'insert steroids here'.
there seems to be more evidence on fakery than on the true landings themselves, this just adds to the bs that governments are capable of. as stated from the pictures, concrete mix is the first thing that comes to mind, the rock formations being of the 'stale' type.
nasa didnt plan that 'visual technology' would advance so quickly in the way that we can now determine man made illusions and spot the diff, thanks guys. lack of tread marks (also inconsistant with the wheel pattern), the astronaughts footprints being deeper than that of the rovers, i mean, c'mon now. the distant lines could also be viewed as 'interlaced backdrops' attempted to be blended with true scenery, this is something i do regularly with photoshopcs, now you see it, now you dont.
to get your hands on the origional photos and to use nowdays methods of scanning would show tampering if any.
the skull was strange indeed, and yes, the right shadow is false, any1 working at a print n press could tell you that. but why hide one side when the other is clearly visible? one could re-create the full image easily. and if it were suppose to act as the 'deaths head of warning' it is very hard to see, and therefore would have gone unnoticed. you would make it more obviouse, assuming there were beings still living there (under there i should say). you would give it borders, surround it with logically defined geometry of sorts in order to recognise, otherwise you would pretty careless in you attempts to show "causion, tresspassers will be shot!". thats my analogy of it anyway.

anomaluna!by juan von trillion
part 2: why we abandoned the moon
part 1: anomalous physics of luna
just look at it, the moon. it should not be there at all. level-headed people who have studied things say that the earth's moon is the biggest anomaly of the solar system, admitting they have no clue as to why it is there. for one, it is too big a moon for such a small planet like earth.
the duo of them is more of a bi-planetary system than a planet-plus-a-moon. a quick look at comparative planet and moon sizes in the solar system is all it takes. moon is way too big. it should not be larger than 40 miles or so, but it is over 2,000 miles in diameter. it is the size of the us, and not the size of maui.
the cassini probe's view from mars.
its camera was not intended for such a shot, hence it is not sharp. still, a great image.
luna moves on an almost perfectly circular orbit around earth, not an elliptical orbit. and much too close to earth. on top of this, it always shows its same side, with only very very slight variations. while the moon travels once around the earth, it rotates exactly once -- not more, not less. if it were not exactly once, we would eventually see the far side (not the cartoon), but we don't. this is, of course, how else could it be, coincidence.

recently there was a post here about how the moon is shrinking in size. i have recently been reading a book on ancient sumerian myths by a well known author you all probably know (send me a private message for the name of the book/author if interested) and noticed something peculiar during the explanation of how marduk's collision with tiamat created earth and the banishment of kingu (the moon) to become earth's satellite rather than have its own "desitny" (orbit). the myth says that upon being stripped of its independent orbit kingu shrank in size and had its vital elements (atmosphere, waters, radioactive matter) stripped as well. kingu was then called a "mass of lifeless clay" and went from being known as king.gu ("great emissary") to dug.ga.e ("pot of lead").
could this "newly discovered" fact that the moon has been shrinking not be new at all? if it was recorded in ancient sumerian creation myths that the moon (kingu) was caused to shrink how can it be a new discovery? i guess now we have the scientific proof that what was said about kingu in this ancient creation myth may have been true all along.
not only do we have this mysterious shrinking of the moon but it also does not fit the profile of a typical satellite for a planet the size of our earth. as the last link in this thread states, it is simply too big of a moon in proportion to the size of earth. the big question now seems to be: how did it get here?

after viewing the link from lighteye, i had a strange thought. what if certain moons, or planets, are basically gigantic geodes with hollow crystalized interiors? crystals or crystal like structures all come from deep underground and are created with heat and pressure, diamonds, rubies etc. cueva de los cristales, mexico was an amazing find when they built a mine shaft only to have stumbled upon this monster cave full of the largest amethyst's on earth, and they arent sure how deep it goes. crystals have many applications, not the jewelry kind either, such as healing (energy transfers and charging according to ra). it throws more ideals towards hollow earth theory and nassim's 'singularity core' concept.
lighteyes link explained that the moon, upon being struck by comets etc, resonates a frequency of sorts. this intrigues me.:d

i scott c. waring, author of ufo sightings of 2006-2009 have written about this in my book. this is actually an apple app for iphone, itouch & ipad. i used the app called "moonmappro." this app has genuine lunar orbiter images directly from nasa archives. the cool thing about these photos is that they were taken before photoshop so their techniques of covering up items had not yet been perfected. in these photos they actually appear to be raw and untouched by the nasa airbrushing room.
these are long black structures and often they curve into or around the craters and mold into the ground. this is definitive proof that they are real structures and they are really there on the moon. who made them and how they made them, we can only guess at.
the names of the craters and the degrees of longitude and latitude are included in the app which makes location of the structures much easier to determine.
