The Scientific Method depends on observations and perceptions of events in order to form a conclusion about something.

But we forget that all perceptions are a result of our beliefs. Although the Scientific Method aims to suspend beliefs, it fails to recognize that our seemingly real 'physical reality' is also a function of belief - although from another 'level'.

Solution?

Trust that Truth will be shown and have Faith that this confusion will pass. Give up our insistance on being 'right' and accept everything as it is without wanting anything to change.

What do we need do in order to awaken?

Give up our beliefs!

That radical statement is stated over and over in spiritual teaching from ACIM to NTI and from 'enlightened' teachers spanning thousands of years.

But there is no 'thousands of years' and there are no enlightened teachers. There is only One - and it is Us and We are One with our Father in Heaven right Now - in the only time there is which is NOW!

How long will you insist on being 'right'?

The Truth is simple - staring us in the face constantly if we would shut up long enough to 'hear' it.

When you see your brother 'acting out' or doing something that you feel is inappropriate, or he is using what you consider to be 'bad judgement', you are insisting you be right instead of happy.

Your belief that things must be done, and they must be done in a certain way is a stumbling block to the awareness of Love's presence (and presents).

There is another way.

Simply allow your brother his space so that both you and he can experience the Love that is in both of you.

Are you at Peace? Are you totally happy with what is going on with your life right now - in this very moment? Is everything perfect for you right now?

If not, then you're at war with God.

Deep down under all of the thinking and plotting and planning, is a war going on that you've been ignoring. It's effects bubble up to your awareness in the form of fear, unhappiness, disease, and ignorance.

It is a war between you and God over the most trivial thing.

You believe you know what is best for you. You believe it so strongly that you are willing to bet your life on being right. You are willing to bet your happiness against God's will.

This is a war you cannot win. It is a war that can only end with surrender.

The only question is 'when' will you surrender? When will you give up the fight to be 'right' and lay down your arms against God and accept His plan for you?

Are you willing to do that right now? Are you willing to declare a truce with God and give up the fight?

If so, Peace will prevail over and through everything you do. Peace will be all that you know because you have given up the fight against God.

You have accepted Everything as it is without wanting anything to change - which by definition IS Peace and it is perfect.

There can be no war when there is only Peace. And perfection can only be perceived when acceptance is all you see - and you want nothing but to experience Peace instead of War.
